Episode Summary

🚨 Lone Planet Mystery

🚨 Delta Planet Mystery

The team discovers a dormant object and sends a member with terraforming expertise to investigate a blank area on the map. Despite safety concerns, this person believes the task can be completed quickly. Within the team, there is distrust toward SecUnit (a robotic security unit), with some members wary of anything made by the company. Suspicion grows that SecUnit may be undergoing some form of change. During the mission, familiar vibrations—matching those from a prior animal attack—are detected, prompting an immediate recall warning. Afterward, a team member expresses regret for a previous decision and relief at the investigator’s safe return. Finally, the team is shocked by what they witness. The journey to Delta Planet began in response to a distress signal that went unanswered. While some questioned the necessity and safety of the mission, others felt a moral obligation to help and uncover strange phenomena. Tensions arose, especially around trust in SecUnit, as signs of conflict between SecUnits suggested internal sabotage—yet the unnaturally clean scene raised suspicions of external control.

🤖 AI as Slaves?

This section highlights an interaction between Ratty and an AI (or AI-like entity), where Ratty begins to question its inhumane treatment. Initially surprised by the AI's seemingly emotional response, Ratty criticizes the practice of viewing AIs as mere machines and even compares it to slavery. Despite attempts by others to silence him and demand an apology, Ratty stands by his beliefs and is ultimately asked to leave.

🛰️ Surveillance, Suspicion, and Dread

While others converse idly, SecUnit monitors the cattle habitat via satellite and confirms that Bard Watch is stable. However, SecUnit grows uneasy after witnessing a creature emerge from the ground and suggests behavioral therapy modules. Noticing Gorathen entering Mensa’s room, SecUnit suspects possible espionage or data theft for a corporation or another entity. Suddenly, satellite signals are lost, deepening SecUnit’s unease. Later, SecUnit reveals that the company routinely audits client activity logs, sparking concerns about privacy violations.

🚀 Satellite Failure: Dilemmas and Duty

Satellite malfunction raises alarm over potential threats. The team is split—some advocate retreat, others insist on continuing the rescue mission for the DelPhel team. They feel a moral responsibility to prove they are protectors, not selfish profiteers. Despite limited resources, they strive to remain economically independent, resisting pressure to join a corporate alliance. Personal concerns about family safety add to the burden. Ultimately, they lose contact with the DelPhel team and fear that a transport unit may also be missing.

🤖 Woes of a Mech Warrior

SecUnit, the mech warrior, spends time with Dr. Mensa in a tense atmosphere. She asks it to stay with her, implying a potentially risky decision. Internally, SecUnit muses about humans’ obsession with sitting and tries to grasp their anxiety. It worries about the fate of the search team and ends the segment by asking if it can resume watching a show—hinting at its growing emotional fatigue and detachment from its current circumstances.

⚠️ Base at Risk, Standby Orders

The landing team finds that the security units at their target site are unresponsive, suggesting something has gone wrong. They decide to land outside the base and realize Ratty is untrained in weapon use, so he remains aboard the ship to monitor the situation. Though reluctant, Ratty agrees. As the team enters the base, they find an alarming scene with dormant security units, and one member regrets not going back to provide backup.

⚠️ Isolated Investigation

The team observes an unusual ring-like growth pattern in local flora, possibly linked to million-year-old alien ruins. These structures, possibly synthetic or energy-based, are suspected to interfere with satellite scans, creating map anomalies. The team suspects the ruins are either highly dangerous or immensely valuable—and that the company wants exclusive control. They learn another team is conducting a parallel investigation. Suddenly, they receive an urgent message from “Mensa,” signaling danger. They set off to investigate, bringing “seq” with them. Due to rain the previous day, the ground has hardened, and no new activity is detected. A SecUnit ventures alone to Delt Fall despite objections. It orders the others to stay back and warns that if it needs help, they must retreat immediately. Facing communication interference, it sets a ten-minute deadline—if no word is received, the others are to evacuate.
